N every Inftitution of Government, founded on juft Principles, the Felicity of the Prince and the People must neceffarily be reciprocal, as it refults equally from a wife and benevolent Exercise of Dominion in the one, and good Senfe, and rational Subjection, in the other: This is a Truth verified by a Reflexion on the Fate of Nations in general, but more especially confirmed by that of our own, as well in the laft as prefent Reign, in which the Bleffings of Nature have been accumulated on the British Nation almoft to Profufion, and we may fay, with more Juftice than could be faid of them in former Times, that the People would, if poffible, be too happy, were they truly fenfible of their prefent blifsful Situation in its utmoft Extent.
