To all man of men to whome this presente wrytyng shall cum see or here, be yt knawen that I Richard Yong off Skarthyngwell gentillma, make and ordeyns my will in forme that followes, That is to say, where [as] Henry Gascoynge, Rauffe Mower, and P'cyvall Mawer, gentillmen, be infeoffede by me the said Richard Yong, in my man' of Skarthyngwell, And allso of and in all my landes, rente, tente, reu'sions and services in Saxton, Barston, Skarthyngwell, Batley, Wildethorpe, Dewsbury, Batley, Thornell and begyng in the Countie of York, to thentente to fulfill my last will shewede and declarede in theyme by wryttyng under my seall, as followes, be yt knawen that I will that my son Bawdewyn have his ppre use yli of howshold stuffe or suche thyng as shalbe necessarie and a silu salt. Allso my sone Thomas and Heyre oder mo whiche shalbe comyng of my body lawfully begotton of me the said Richarde and Margarett my wyffe to have one hunderth m'ke to be devided amonge theym, by my feoffees above expressed. And also I will that my soñe Thomas have no thyng of the C m'ke but at the sight of my feoffees by cause I have gyve to hym landes to the yerly valor of xls duryng his lyffe in Uleskelfe. And if it happen my said childeren to decesse not havyng there propre parte, than wheder it be parte or partes to be devyded and distributed emonge my childeren that survyves accordyng to thentent above saide. Allso I will that my feoffees mak a lawfull estate to Margaret my wyffe for the terme of hir lyffe condicionally of x m'ke of landes and teñtes, to have to hir proper use yerly as long as she kepis hir vnmariede. And iff it happen M'garet my wiffe to marrie after my days she shall [have] no landes ne goodes, but to remeyne to the forsaid Richarde and to his children but the which the law will gyve hir. And allso I will that my ffeoffees shall suffer M'garet my wyffe and P'ciuall More to take and to have the renewes and profeite of all my landes and tentes, to the pformyng of my will and ffyndyng of my childeron. And also I will that my feoffes shall releasse to my son Bawdewyne or my heyres, which shall happen, when they come to lawful age.
