In the name of God, Amen: be it the yere of or lorde God Mdxxijth. Witnesses that I Thomas Lowke, of good mynde and hoole remembrance, make my testament and last Will after this man'. First I bequeath my saull to God Almightye, and to or lady Saynte Mary, and to al the saynte in hevyn, my body to be beried in the chirch of Alhallowse in Normanton. Also I bequeath my best good in the nayme of my mortuary. Also I will and I ordene Kateryn my wif, and Thomas my son, hoole executors of all my goodę, moveable and unmoveable. Also I bequeath Jenet my doughtor, to be in kepyng of my wif, and after hir decesse, if it shulde soo forton I bequeath hir vj marc. Also I gif holy to the hye altar of Normanton, for to fulfill my constiencie, xijd. And I bequeath to Sir Herry Brogden for his labor xijd. In the name of Almyghtie God, Amen. I, Alicie Calu ley, laite wif to William Calu'ley, Kynght, decessed, beyng hoole constant and pfitte in mynde, make cöstituteth and ordineth this my last will mynde and testament, in man' and forme folowyng. The First, I gif and bequeath my saul unto Almyghtie God, my creator and make', and to his most blissid moder or lady sayncte Mary, and to all the celestial company of hevyn, and my body to be beriede in the hye where, within the pishe chirch of Saynte Wilfride in Calu❜ley, ny jonyng to my husband lyeing ther. Also I gif and bequeath unto the chirch of Otteley, my best horse in the name of my mortuary. Also I bequeath unto the hye altar for duetys forgettyn, vjs viijd. Also I will that William Calu'ley, Robert Calu'ley, and Thomas Calu'ley, my childer, with Henry Thornhill, be my hoole and full executo's. Also at such tyme as it shall please God to call for me, then I will yt I be broght furth of my hoole goode, after my degre.

Also I bequeath to the iiij orders of Freres, vjs viijd, to be dyuyded equaly among ther howses. Also I will that Robert my son be paid of my hoole goode, his childe parte, as tochyng his faders bequest. Also I will that if it please God that William, Robert, and Thomas, my sonys, to lyf after me, then I will thaye haue thoccupacion and the termes of the fermeholde of myn, that is to say, my yeres and termes of the said chirch of Otteley, with my other fermeholde called Pristwike and Stubyng. Also I will that Henry Thornhill, my s'unte, haue of the said church xx for the terme of his lif, for the said labor that he taketh in forme as is aforesaid. Farther, I will that where I haue confeffed John Vauaso, Lawrence Kighley, Henry Thornhill, and Richard Smyth, in of and oppon al my messuages, closes, landes, tentes, medows and pasturs, wt ther app'teñnces, in Calu'ley, Fersley, Bagley, Stede, and Menston, to haue to them and to ther heres, to the pfermacion of this my will, with true entent will and mynde of me the said Alicie, is such that my said feoffes shall suffer Robert Calu❜ley, my son, to take and resave all the yshes, remaintes, and profitte of my said messuages, lande, teñte, with ther app'tennce, comprised in the same deede, to th'entent that the said Robert, with the profitte of the same, shall cause an honest and discrete preiste to syng immediatly after my decesse, duryng the terme of xxti yeres, be fully expired, fynyshed, and ended, and he to pray for the saulle of my fader, my moder, my husband Sir William Calu'ley, for me and for all cristen saulle; and after thende of the said xxti yeares be expired, then my ferther will and mynde is that my good feoffez shall stand and be seased, in of and oppon al the aforsaid messuages, lande, tente, comprisyd in the same dede, to thuse of the said Robert and of his heres of his body lawfully begottyn, the said Robert and his heres of his body payng yerely to Thomas Calu'ley his broder, xx, and to William Calu❜ley his broder, other xx, duryng the lif of the said Thomas and William, at termes usuall; and if the said Robert dy without heres of his body lawfully begottyn, then the forsaid feoffes to stand and be seased of the said messuages and lande, to thuse of Thomas Calu❜ley my soñ, and to the heres of his body lawfully begottyn; and for defaute of such yshu, then my said feoffes to stand and be seased to the use of William my son, and to his heres of his body lawfully begottyn. Into witnes herof to this my present true entent, last will and mynd, I, the said Alicie, haith setto my seale the xth day of Septebr., in the xiiijth yere of the Reigne of of sou yng lorde Kyng Henry the viijth. In the name of God Amen: xijth day of March, the yere of or lord God, M'dxxj. I Robert Milson of Farburn, in the pishe of Ledeshm, seike of body and good of remembraunce, make my testament and

last Will in the maner and forme folowyng. First I bequeath my saull to God Almyghtie, and to or lady Saynte Mary, and to all the holye company of hevyn, and my bodie to be beriede in the Kirke yerde of the pishyng of Ledeshm, and my best whike good in the name of my mortuary. The residue of my goode not witt, my dette paide, and my will fulfullid, I gif it unto Elisabeth my wif, whome I make my executrix, she to dispose as she thinke best. In the name of God Amen. [Dated 2 July, 1522.] I William Lassy of good mynde . . My body to be berede within the chirch yerde of Saynete Oswalde of Meithley. And also I bequeath for my mortuary my best beast. And also I gif to Agnes my doughtor my grett Browne cowe. And also to Elizabeth my doughter my white hedded cowe called chery. And to Elsabeth Hagg[er] on red cowe called chery. And to Esabell Scawbert my yong white hedded cowe. And to M'garet my doughter a blake cowe. And to William Sarroy a blake whye. And Thomas Lascy a whye. And to William Shelito my godson a whye. Also I will that Agnes my doughtor shall have xx3 rent in a yere whilst she life of the howse in the Mykletowne which is in the tenor of M'garet Wedderhed. And I bequeath vjs viijd to the making of the hye ways yerely to be takyn of the said house. Or els I will that the said Agnes shall have ij closes called Hobgaips and an acre of land called Wyndill and ij acr called Southlund and vj acr in the towne feld the which all I may gif or sell. The Residue of all my goodę not bequeathed I gif to Robert Burton and John Haggar in fulfilling my will and payng theire dette which is contend in the bake of this present writyng, the which Robert and John I make my lawfull executors to th'entent that the said John shalbe ordered and gouerned after the said Robert as to continue the scole to he be preist by Gode grace. Also I desire Maister Thomas Grice to be supvisor of this my will wherfor I gif to hym my Red bull to th'entent that I will trust hym to be good maister to my executors and childer. In the name of God Amen. [Dated 20 Dec., 1522.] I Henry Sawer of Garfurth of good mynde. . . My bodie to be beriede within the pishe kirke of Garforthe. And also I gif my best good to my mortuary. Also I bequeath to Garforth kirke a quart' barlye oon halfe to the hie altar and the other half to the kirke warkę.

Also to the iiij orders of freres every one of them iiijd. Also to William Medley wif a gowne and a kirtle and a peticott. Also to Agnes Crofe a gowne a kirtle and a hatt. Also to Crofe wif a gowne and a petycott and a kerchef. Also to Margarette Crofe a hat. Also to Richard Mason ij. Also of al the residue of my goodę my wil fulfillede and my dette paide, I will and make William Rauson of Sterton and William Medley of litle Preston my full executors to dispose and gif for th'elthe of my saull al my goode as ther thinke best and to whome at ther pleasor. In Dei nomine Amen: [Dated 13 October, 1521.] I Raynalde Wedderhead of good mynde and witt. My body to be beriede in the church yerde of Sancte Oswold of Meithley. Also I bewit my best beast for my mortuary. Also to the hie altar iiijd and to or lady light ijd. And to the plow light ijd and to the roode light iiijd. The residue of al my goode I gif to Margarett my wif and to Thomas my sonne to th'entent that thei shall pay al my dette and dispose for my saull as thei think best which Margarete my wif and Thomas my soñ I ordeyn and make my lawful executors. First, I gif my saull unto the blissid Savior. the maker of al man kynde, and to that blissid virgyn, o' lady Sancte Mary, and to al the Sanctes in hevyn, and my body to be beriede in the church of Alhalowse of Normanton, and my best beast for to be my mortuary.
