Son édition contient le texte avec une traduction angloise littérale: p. 6-27; une traduction libre en anglois : p. 29-36; enfin une traduction latine : p. 37-51. Toutes ces traductions et la plupart des notes sont du révérend Owen Manning, éditeur de Lye's Dictionarium Saxonico et Gothico-Latinum. Il les a finies en février 1776.

Il y a un autre testament dans la vie du roi Alfred par Asser, édit. de Wise. C'est une incorrecte traduction latine d'une partie du testament saxon.
