OVER CRAG AND CORREI, "FLOOD AND FELL."

BY JOHN COLQUHOUN, ESQ.,

AUTHOR OF THE MOOR AND THE LOCH."

"There the light of evening lies
Longer than in Southern skies;
There the dreary dark pine woods
Frown o'er watery solitudes."

ADVERTISEMENT.

THE following irregular sketches of wild expeditions, now loosely thrown together, were begun in the year 1841. They were penned just as they occurred, often at long intervals. Those which were thought likely to be of more general interest have been selected from among many

others.

The Author has also derived pleasure from noting down any incidents in natural history which engaged his attention, and recommends the practice to all those who may enjoy the same opportunities for observing them.
