The following Table gives the comparison of the Mean Monthly Temperature, from April to December, of the Air at the top of the Tower, (at an elevation of 105 feet,) and of the Air near the surface of the Ground, in the Year 1862. The result of the comparison seems to shew that during the summer months the temperature at the top of the tower is slightly lower than that near the surface of the ground, and slightly higher in the winter months. |
