(2.) To insist, before agreeing to any restoration or alteration, that all relics of antiquarian interest shall be religiously and scrupulously preserved; and (3.) To insist that a list be made of all such objects, and that the rural deans and archdeacons be required from time to time to report as to their existence and preservation. Already much has been lost that cannot be replaced, and it is high time some steps were taken to prevent, as far as possible, any further losses.
