"Is it really for me, mother?"

"Certainly, Francisco," said Mrs. Morelle "It is your bono-mano."

John did not know what to say in reply, not having had any opportunity to prepare himself, like a real courier, to make a pretty speech in receiving his gratuity, so he ran off out into the large cabin, where, in his exultation, he cut a most extraordinary caper which must have greatly astonished the multitudes of people that were hurrying to and fro there, if they had only had time to look at him.

Not very long after this the steamer set sail and after a pleasant and prosperous voyage across the Atlantic, the whole party arrived safely in their native land.

And this is the end of the Florence Stories,

"While in general this story resembles Mr. Abbott's, it is superior to some of that author's later works. It is marked by his best characteristics -the easy, natural dialogue, wholesome, moral, and religious tone, and simple, explanatory style, without being tiresome in repetition. It deseribes home scenes and suggests home amusements. Kenny is seven years old, and for children from seven to twelve, this story is both pleasing and instructive."-Boston Journal.
