Issued to Subscribers for the Year 1920. PREFACE. The contents of the first two Volumes of the Clapham Register are given in this part. Vol. I. comprises 69 vellum leaves, unbound, 11 in. by 8 in., rather dilapidated, and contains Baptisms, Marriages, and Burials, 1595-1651. Vol. II. consists of 67 vellum leaves with vellum backs 12 in. by 8 in., and carries the entries to 1683. Clapham was a large parish near the borders of Yorkshire and Lancashire, and embraced the Townships of Claphamcum-Newby, Lawkland, and Austwick; the last-named now forms a separate parish.
