A WHIP, formed from the hind foot of a Kangaroo and the tail of a Sting Ray, from New Holland. Presented by Dr. Marshall Hall.

AN Ashantee loom, a piece of cloth, six feet and a half wide by nine and a half long, formed of white strips, all three inches and a half wide, painted with various patterns with a mixture of blood and a red dyewood. Another piece of cloth, six feet long by five wide, formed of

narrow strips three inches and a half wide. Narrow strips, two inches wide in the stripes, of three different colours. A piece of very fine matting one foot eight inches wide, manufactured in stripes of four different colours, fringed at each end. A piece of cloth, six feet and a half long and one foot wide, manufactured in stripes of several different colours and widths. A piece of cloth, eight feet long by seven wide, formed of narrow strips of linen, worked in various patterns, some of which are of very elaborate workmanship. A child's umbrella, or sun-shade, covered with various coloured and printed cottons, and strips of woollen cloth, with a carved wooden top. A musical instrument called a Saukoo, with a vegetable fibre for strings. A leathern pouch, surrounded by strips of flat worked leather and cloth, in different patterns, from Ashantee.
