ΟΝ

N account of the exceptionally large size of the Thirteenth Volume of our Transactions, it was thought advisable to issue it in two parts; the first, which was principally occupied by a carefully prepared catalogue of the Portraits, &c., in the possession of Lord Hawkesbury (now the Earl of Liverpool), was therefore issued to the members for 1905; and the present portion, completing the volume, is sent to the members for 1906. It should be explained that there are several papers in hand, which were read prior to the present year, but for financial reasons it was thought desirable to hold these over until Volume XIV., which will be due to the members for 1907. With the present issue is included the useful Archæological Indices for

the years 1904-5.

The Rev. C. V. Collier, F.S.A., has kindly prepared the index to this volume.

February, 1907.
